Hi everyone! My name is Cecilia and this is my project Stretchie ~ A desktop stretching buddy 👋 #ConfigMakeathon 🧘 https://meter-linear-16982687.figma.site/ 🧘 💛 Let's stop carpal tunnel, NO MORE STIFF BODIES, NO MORE TENSION HEADACHES AND BECOME AS FLEXIBLE AS CHINESE GRANDMAS 💛 My inspiration comes from being a desktop user primarily. I rarely have time to access my phone and that eventually rendered my body inflexible and terrible joint and nerve pain. I find that sometimes even setting an alarm on my phone made me also not want to stretch when I need to. It got to the point where I had to see multiple PTs over time and every time I finished treatment I would come back to the same pain points. I talked to friends about it and they also had the same pain points from being a desktop main user, so I decided to make this project. In terms of design, I find that a lot of stretching apps on even mobile aren't fun to look at or make me want to use it. In the design stage I tried to go for a fun and cutesy look with yellow as theme to feel energizing to use as I also struggle to use other stretching apps due to not how fun it looks and also doesn't have a built in repeating alarm. Also I really like tamagotchi and that nostalgic look so it has been designed with that in mind.

My final design includes a few stretches that my PTs and doctor has shown me and some extra that I found online as an example and worked on it all in Figma Make. The exercises are animated when going through the stretch session and you can set a repeating timer and save the session to your email. As of making the app till now, I have used to do my daily stretches and it has been helping. Would appreciate anyone looking and trying this out!
