BESS is my independent art practice exploring memory, identity, and cultural history through sculptural leather reliefs of everyday objects.
As the artist and creative director, I oversee every aspect of the practice, from conceptual development and material experimentation to fabrication, visual storytelling, and presentation.
The work reflects my approach to creativity beyond commercial design, bringing together original thinking, craftsmanship, and a distinct visual language to transform familiar objects into meaningful contemporary art.
My favorite part of this branding and packaging project was working with the different materials. The dark glass, aluminum, and soft paper each bring something different, so I kept the typography and labels simple to help everything sit together.
What do you get when you combine photography and painting?
This weekend I used Midjourney to explore a visual direction that blends painted flowers into a photorealistic scene, bringing the two mediums together into something slightly surreal.
