Anybody looking for their next role in a media/entertainment related field needs a digital portfolio for employers to view their work. However, not everyone knows how to build a website. My mother threw together a portfolio on WordPress to represent her career in travel journalism, but the site was difficult to navigate and lacked a clear UI structure. Using the PDFs she sent me, I established categories (articles, book, press, and photos) and completely redesigned the site on WIX. I chose a serif typeface to give it a news article feel, and put a ripple effect on the paragraphs to keep the viewer's attention when scrolling through long articles.
