Mixtape for You — send someone a cassette you actually made
🎧 WHAT I BUILT🎵
🎵Mixtape for You is a web app for making someone a cassette mixtape and sending it as a link. Not a playlist — an object.🎵
You pick a shell color and a label pattern, drag stickers onto the hexagonal label, choose a case tint and engrave the spine, split your YouTube tracks across Side A and Side B, and write a note in your own handwriting. The tracklist gets andwritten onto the J-card lines, exactly like a real cassette insert.
The person who receives it doesn't land on a player. They land on a closed plastic
case with a tape sitting inside it and a Play button. Press play, and the cassette
slides out of the case with a soft bounce, the note is lying right there next to it,
and only then does the music start. Hit pause and the tape goes back into its case.
7 screens: Landing → Cassette → Case → Add Songs → Write a Note → Preview & Share → Recipient (a separate public route, not a wizard step).

Tagline: The internal tool orchestras don't have: tracking parts, bowings, and distribution for an entire season, in one place.
Description:
Every orchestra has a librarian quietly keeping the whole operation running — tracking which parts are rented vs. owned, whether the bowings are marked before rehearsal, and who currently has which stand's music sitting on their stand. Right now that job runs on spreadsheets, paper checklists, and institutional memory. I wanted to see what a purpose-built tool for that role could look like.
Podium is a 4-screen prototype covering the full workflow: a season library view showing every work in rotation with its parts-prep status at a glance, a score detail view breaking that down section by section, a prep checklist for marking up bowings stand by stand with a live progress counter, and a distribution screen for tracking which musician has which part and when it's due back.
I built it in Flowstep, aiming for something closer to a rare-book catalog than a typical SaaS dashboard — warm paper background, a single brass accent, serif for the repertoire, monospace for every number. It's a niche profession nobody else was likely to design for, which is exactly why I wanted to build it.

I thought I spent $120/month on subscriptions. Turns out I was off by $167. So I built the app I wished existed. It's called RELIEF. 💰
Here's the real problem : 89% of us underestimate our subscription total. Not because we're careless - because every app built to fix it is made for finance-savvy people. Dashboards, charts, jargon, rounded cards. If you're not already comfortable with all that, you close the app and keep bleeding $2,004 a year.
None of them make you "Feel" the money leaking. And feeling is the whole point. So I didn't design a finance app. I designed a sculpture.
RELIEF runs on Michelangelo's Idea - the statue is already inside the marble, you just carve away the excess.

– Cancelling is a chisel strike
– The money that returns is the figure emerging
13 screens, one system. Two colors carry all the meaning: vermilion for waste, gold for what you've reclaimed. Nothing else.
