Built a small experiment this weekend that turned into one of my favorite landing page interactions. Instead of using a traditional before-and-after slider, I created a cursor-controlled reveal for an automotive detailing brand. 🚗 The base layer is a neglected, rusty car. ✨ As you move your cursor, it reveals the exact same car fully restored and subtly animated. The camera never moves, the composition stays perfectly locked, and the transformation feels seamless. What I enjoyed most wasn’t just the visual effect it was the storytelling. The interaction communicates the value of the service before the visitor reads a single word. Big inspiration goes to Filatov Design, whose workflow sparked this exploration. I adapted the concept into an automotive use case and built it as a landing page experience.
