Designing for a platform like Akinia is really more about making the right data easier to understand. While designing on Akinia, I worked on several experiences, this is one of them; an experience that helps investors research African companies without making the interface feel overwhelming, and trust me, it can get overwhelming. This Public Companies experience was designed to make sure the amount of data needed to be presented was preseted in a way that is not overwhelming to the user. A single company can have layers of information behind it, market position, valuation, financial performance, ownership, and more. So rather than treating each piece of information as a separate destination, I designed the experience to let users move naturally from: Who is this company? → How is it valued? → How is it performing? → Who owns it? The important stuff… The challenge was creating an interface that could handle complex financial information while still feeling clear, fast, and intuitive. These are a few screens from that experience. And this is only one part of what I've built for Akinia.
