Did Anthropic just kill Figma?
Anthropic just launched Claude Design, a new AI-powered UI prototyping tool that goes head-to-head with Figma.
In this first look, it’s used to redesign the T3 Code marketing site in real time.
What stands out is how it works with your actual codebase for context, lets you leave comments directly on designs for batch AI edits, and includes a “knobs” mode where you can tweak live CSS like a control panel.
It feels less like a design tool and more like designing with an AI teammate inside your workflow.
What do you think, is Anthropic on the right path with tools like this, or is this overkill for how design actually gets done today?
