Scaling animations are hard to make look good, but when you do, they look perfect!

Agreed. Subtle scaling can add a lot of polish when it’s tuned carefully.

Animated β€” but only with purposeful micro-interactions. Motion should enhance hierarchy & feedback, not distract from price data. Subtle transitions + state changes would work great here πŸ‘Œ

Agreed. If motion doesn’t improve understanding or feedback, it’s just visual debt.
Abhiram's avatar
That’s a great way to frame it β€” β€œvisual debt” is exactly what it becomes when motion isn’t functional.
I’ve been leaning more toward motion as feedback / state communication rather than decoration.

Animated catches more attention but static is better for simplicity. I still voted for animated I see the hard work you executed very wellπŸ˜ŠπŸ™Œ

Animated UI is not massively adopted for UX cos it can be distracting. But lately I've been getting inquiries around it for product showcasing.

Animated for sure.
Crypto already moves fast, subtle motion can reinforce feedback and make the experience feel more alive without overwhelming users.
Fawaz's avatar
Weel said. In crypto, feedback has to feel instant and trustworthy. Subtle motion helps communicate the state without adding noise.

For me is static but need light animations ! Why, because thats the missing part many designers don't know until the app start having serious database flowing there will be crash and slow. Best example go now to Coinebase and see is just light animations even many pages are static and the app scale millions.
Fawaz's avatar
Thats true, Adding in heavy animations can increase the load time significantly. But it can also sometimes help delaying things if the data is being fetched

I would say animated cause I'm leaning more to micro-interactions as a web standard.

Light animation is key, users don't want to be flickered by excessive animation.
