Vintage Map Ad — Two Creative Directions
I’ve been testing two ways to reveal the product.
In one version, the space builds around it, creating a more magical feel.
In the other, I went for a more restrained approach — pulling back to reveal the setting without any transformation.
Which one would you go for?

I like the reveal more because it gives a sense of something being laid out from the foundation to a complete project view (Like a journey). Rather than just feeling like zooming out of the canvas like the pull through does.

Pull back has it

The Reveal for me. For a vintage map product, the space building itself around the map is the moment that justifies the ad, it turns an object into a little piece of theatre. The Pullback is elegant and calm but it explains less. The Reveal gives the product an entrance.
