Introducing: PLOT
For this Bubble #promptandcircumstance challenge, I spent that time building out this Community-focused application where people share their placemaking projects alongside insights and updates that others can learn from. You can explore initiatives across multiple categories, see details and updates, learn from their processes, discover new communities, and start initiatives of your own.
For me, inspiration for innovation has always come mostly from small towns. Not the San Franciscos or New Yorks of the world — the Mabletons and the Abbevilles. Why? Because there . . . conversions mean getting your friend to help with a food drive, not acquiring users. Growth is rooted in seeing small grassroots initiatives turn into bigger ones, and there aren’t 6 rounds of interviews required — just grabbing a shovel and being willing to get a little dirty. 🧑🏾🌾
The app was originally called Tend (inspired by a local garden I now help with when spending time away from my screen), but the brand strategist in me thought a little harder and changed it to Plot. Because the platform is about more than caring for communities. It's about intentionally planning, shaping, and sharing the projects rooted in a place (kind of like plotting a garden before it grows).

What it does:
GigPulse is a personal freelance project tracker built for independent professionals who juggle multiple platforms. Freelancers can log their projects, track earnings per platform, monitor project status, and attach video demos of their work all in one private dashboard. The community benchmarking layer lets users see anonymized stats from other freelancers in their niche, so you always know how you stack up.
How I built on top of the AI-generated base:
Bubble AI generated the core dashboard structure and data architecture. From there, I manually engineered the video upload and playback system per project, built privacy-filtered data workflows so each user only sees their own data, added platform-specific earnings tracking with status badges, and designed a clean dark UI with collapsible video players. The AI gave me the skeleton, I built the muscles.
This is the Bubble AI-generated base after my initial prompt 'Build a freelance analytics dashboard app called "GigPulse" where
freelancers can track their gigs, proposals sent, earnings per platform,
client response rates, and monthly revenue goals. Include a community
benchmarking section where users can see anonymized stats from other
freelancers in their niche. Add user authentication, a personal stats
dashboard with charts, a goal-setting tracker, and a community feed
where freelancers share weekly wins.'
Everything you see in the final build beyond this point was manually engineered.
Hi everyone! 👁️ I built Second Eye for the @bubble #PromptAndCircumstance hackathon — and it's basically the brutally honest design critic every designer secretly needs.
Here's the idea: you drop in a design, and Second Eye scores it. Not with a vague "looks good" — but with a real breakdown across visual hierarchy, typography, color, spacing, accessibility, and usability. Every category gets a score, what's working, and what to fix. Then it tracks your progress over time on a dashboard, so you can actually watch your craft improve.
The heart of Second Eye is an analytics dashboard. It surfaces a designer's average AI score, total and published projects, peer ratings, and a score-trend chart — turning scattered feedback into measurable, trackable performance data that helps designers see how their work improves over time.
There's also a community side — a gallery where designers share work, leave critiques, and rate each other.
What I love about building this: it started as a single Bubble AI prompt. The AI gave me the skeleton — the layout, the data structure, the gallery. Everything after that was me reshaping it into something that actually works: the critique engine, the scoring logic, the trend chart, the whole community layer.
First time ever building on Bubble — and I shipped a real, working product. 🚀
