I have an honest question, how many of you started here on Contra after gaining experience on other platforms like Fiverr and Upwork? What made you create an account here and which one of the three platforms do you prefer?
Here! I used Fiverr from 2020, which is a long time, most of my clients were from there. I was honestly tired of two things: using PayPal and 20% commission (the platform even takes 20% off TIPS???) I am super angry hahaha anyway... when I found out about Contra, I signed up...

The 20% commision from tips on fiverr is what pisses me off too lol. I once read a reply of fiverr team to a person who complaineda about it and they said that if 20% wasn't there for tips, sellers would just send a 5 usd custom offer and convince them to pay the actual amount...

I found Fiverr and Upwork to represent what's wrong with freelancer job boards. On those sites its a competition to scrape pennies, to compete for the lowest price. I never took a job that came in through those sites.
Well fiverr did work for me, that’s where my freelancing journey started and I gained experience thru it. Upwork didn’t work for me but fiverr’s algorithm system is really unfair sometimes
Got the luck of ending up on Contra as my first (and only) freelancing platform :D
