Just added a new packaging case study to my portfolio. I did the taste test here, but in the end chose the one that didn't win.
I designed this high-CTR YouTube thumbnail for a MrBeast style $1 vs $1,000,000 video.
Summoner is a spooky capture game set in a haunted graveyard. Zombies, ghosts and pumpkins peek out of their hideouts for just a moment: catch the ones your recipe needs before the hourglass runs out, and each one rises through a summoning portal in the ritual circle. Much of the art started as hand drawings.
Features used: both CLI and GPU Canvas.
• Rive CLI: I built the prototype and MVP with the CLI (scene, Luau scripting, data binding, verification and screenshot tests), going back and forth with the Rive Editor for layout and visual polish.
• GPU Canvas: almost every effect is a WGSL shader running inside Rive: the ritual circle and its sparks, the capture bursts, the summoning portal, fog and candle light, fireflies and paper-cut confetti.
One .riv file that plays on phone, tablet, desktop and pen display.
