: Hey folks Here is my submission for the "Game with Rive" challenge. I had created this simple puzzle game as an assignment to dive deeper in Rive. Data binding and Scripting were not supported when I started making this game. So I had to use too many timelines, inputs and listeners for animating tiles.
But after the introduction of Data binding and Scripting, rive has become so much more easier and powerful. I rebuilt the same puzzle game using these new features. It took a lot less time to build the game with Data binding and Scripting

I create a curling game, with the Winter Olympics just finished.
I've also added a little easter egg (watch until the end) which might have something to do with Canada's curling scandal during this year's Olympics 😊
It includes:
Stone throwing mechanic
Player input controls the force and direction of the throw.
Sweeping system
Sweeping dynamically alters the stone’s trajectory, mimicking real curling mechanics.
Collision detection
Stones interact with each other and the environment in real time.
Scoring logic
Points are calculated based on stone position at the end of each round.
Punch 1.0.1 🤖
Rive is my favourite 2D engine. So naturally, I built a 3D fighting game in it.
Punch is a 1 vs 1 robot combat game where every mesh, every polygon, every depth-sorted face is computed in real-time through Luau scripting. No external 3D library nor API.
The gameplay is simple and brutal: throw a punch, parry if you can, hope for the best. Two robots, one arena, zero polygons wasted on diplomacy.
Luau handles perspective projection, mesh rendering, depth-sorting, face culling, and real-time animation, all running within the Rive state machine. The robot models are pushed from Blender to Rive. Every frame, the script redraws the scene. It runs in my browser today, my phone asap.
A fighting game felt like the right kind of absurd.
