: Hey folks Here is my submission for the "Game with Rive" challenge. I had created this simple puzzle game as an assignment to dive deeper in Rive. Data binding and Scripting were not supported when I started making this game. So I had to use too many timelines, inputs and listeners for animating tiles.
But after the introduction of Data binding and Scripting, rive has become so much more easier and powerful. I rebuilt the same puzzle game using these new features. It took a lot less time to build the game with Data binding and Scripting

I have been completing the Chess game made entirely in Rive over the last few weeks, running against the clock with the support of my Studio DSpot. A lot of fun and excited to share the results.
We use:
-Rive Agent for an initial baseline scripting and effect supports
-Scripting custom code for the most complex game logics
-Autolayouts and Components for the UI

My entry for the Games with Rive challenge, finally! I was super happy to put my game dev skills to use.
⚔️ Battle Stride — a card-based dungeon crawler where you lay down path cards to guide a soldier through procedurally generated dungeons, battle enemies, and collect relics.
I used Rive's state machines to drive all the character and card animations, data binding to keep the HUD in sync with game state, and listeners for interactive hover and click effects on the cards.
All the art—characters, cards, tiles, and relics—was hand-drawn and animated in Rive's editor using vector shapes, then exported as lightweight files for the web.
Audio events in the state machine handle combat and pickup sounds. The whole thing runs in the browser with lightweight vector exports.
