One of the biggest mistakes I made when building my SaaS was thinking every feature was equally important.
When you have an idea, it's easy to get excited about everything the product could do.
AI predictions.
Affiliate systems.
Referral programs.
Analytics.
Dashboards.
Automations.
But building everything at once is a fast way to waste time.
While building FootballOracle, I started asking a different question:
“Does this feature actually move the product forward?”
I began prioritizing features based on three things:
User value - Does it solve a real problem for the user?
Business value - Does it help acquisition, retention, revenue or operations?
Technical effort - How much time and complexity will it take to build?
That changed how I approached development.
Instead of building features because they sounded impressive, I started building around the core user journey and business model.
This is one of the biggest lessons I've learned as an AI Operator and Technical Product Manager.
Building a product isn't about having the most features.
It's about knowing which features deserve to exist.
AI can help you build faster.
But product thinking helps you build the right thing.
That's the mindset I bring when turning business ideas into AI-powered SaaS products.
