ARM - Industrial Secure Flashing & Provisioning System (ARM-to-ARM)
Overview: Originally an independent RK3288 ARM Tablet (Ntablet) developed in 2018, this device has been deeply customized into a high-security Industrial Flashing Station. It is designed to manage the secure deployment of encrypted firmware and the automated provisioning of unique device identities (SN) on the factory floor.
:► Skills Used: ● Systems architecture ● PCB design (Altium/KiCad) ● Linux Kernel/APP development(C/C++) ● Full-Stack Manufacturing Logic: PHP 8.1 + Swoole + Vue.js for high-concurrency production handling. ● Cloud Integration: Secure MQTT & Cloud-to-Station firmware synchronization.
► Core Technical Capabilities: ● Secure Firmware Deployment: The system fetches highly encrypted firmware from the cloud. This ensures that sensitive intellectual property remains protected even within the factory environment. ● Dynamic SN Activation (One-Unit-One-Code): ● ● During the burning process, the system injects a unique Serial Number (SN) into the target device. ● ● This SN serves as the Decryption Key/Trigger required to activate and boot the encrypted firmware, effectively preventing unauthorized cloning or firmware theft.
► Automated Traceability: ● Automatically triggers industrial printers to generate unique QR codes for each provisioned unit. ● Real-time reporting of every successful "SN-Activation" to the central server via MQTT. ● ARM-to-ARM High-Speed Flashing: Utilizes the RK3288's processing power to directly program target motherboards (e.g., RK3326S/RK3566/RK3562/STM8/STM32/ESP32/ESP8266 and etc) without any specifical programming tool. ● Production Management & Query: Integrated support for Barcode Scanners to query local SQLite databases for device history and QC status.
► Engineering Excellence: ● System-Level Security: Employs LUKS for local disk encryption and OpenSSL for managing the public/private key infrastructure used in firmware decryption. ● Industrial Stability: Features a 7-inch retina HD touch screen and a 4800mAh high-voltage battery, optimized for 24/7 reliability in manufacturing environments.
This project demonstrates my ability to build end-to-end secure manufacturing ecosystems. I specialize in protecting client IP through encrypted firmware distribution and ensuring each unit produced is uniquely identifiable and legally activated. I bridge the gap between secure software design and high-efficiency ARM-based hardware production.
