A few years ago, I worked on this commissioned project, taking the idea from concept ideation through to prototyping.

The concept explores a simple yet engaging way to grow avocado plants from their seeds. The design features compact, hexagonal seed holders that float in a container of water, keeping the seeds securely positioned while allowing their roots to develop beneath the surface. The modular holders can accommodate multiple seeds at once, making the growing process more practical, organised, and visually appealing.

I wanted to turn an everyday kitchen waste item into an opportunity for growth, encouraging people to reconnect with nature through a simple, hands-on experience. 🌱

It was a fun project that combined functional product design with sustainability, exploring how a thoughtfully designed object can give discarded avocado seeds a new purpose.
