Give it a Glow — Day 1 🚀

For this challenge, I'm designing a website for a local Indian salon: Shweta Makeover Studio. Which is literally my neighbourhood beauty parlour in a small Indian city - Meerut.

This isn't just another beauty website—it's about helping a trusted neighborhood business embrace digital without overwhelming its customers.

The Problem

Shweta Makeover Studio has become the go-to salon for many women in our community. While the salon offers everything from facials, waxing, spa therapies, hair services, nail care, and bridal makeovers to a small in-store makeup and ethnic wear collection, most of its customers are middle-aged women who aren't particularly tech-savvy.

Booking appointments often happens through calls or WhatsApp, making the process time-consuming for both customers and staff.

The Goal

Design a simple, welcoming website that feels effortless to use—even for first-time internet users.

The experience will focus on: ✨ Easy appointment booking ✨ Service discovery ✨ Bridal portfolio & latest beauty offerings ✨ Festival and seasonal promotions ✨ DIY beauty tips ✨ Product showcase ✨ WhatsApp-first communication

Design Direction

A clean, minimal interface with a palette of bright white, tomato red, and subtle gold accents; creating a warm, trustworthy, and premium experience tailored to Indian women.

The aim isn't to redesign a salon website.

It's to digitally transform a neighborhood business while keeping the experience familiar, approachable, and human.

We’ve just launched a brand new website for a well established UK real estate company with over 20 years in the industry, dozens of employees, and an impressive portfolio of projects. The challenge was bringing all those case studies, people, and expertise into one clear, easy to navigate experience. From the homepage to projects to the people page, everything had to feel structured, intuitive, and effortless. We explored different layout systems, built a powerful CMS for the projects and team pages, and designed over 100 pages in under six weeks. Really proud of how this one turned out. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Tomorrow (well, today 🤭) is July 1st, and I’m officially launching my personal design challenge: UI July To push myself out of my comfort zone and unlock a higher gear of creative momentum, I am committing to designing and publishing something new every single day for the next 20 days 🧚🏻 Over the course of the challenge, I'll be sharing a diverse mix of aesthetics- spanning everything from highly polished micro-components to full, clean mobile and web layouts.
