This is ARCHIVE; a website aimed at celebrating Nigerian Fashion, acknowledging it from its origins and praising the current sets of fashion designers pushing Nigerian fashion globally.
Before taking on this project, I had to conduct research into Nigerian fashion to fully understand how far it has come. It included me taking in details from archive websites, the web, and a YouTube video.
Once I got all the details, I narrowed them down into sections. I had to work with users in mind here; realizing how most users wouldn't want to read through everything, I took a storytelling direction for the website to keep them entertained and briefly paraphrased each content while keeping the prior details.
For the "How We Wore It" section, I decided to visually show the users how much Nigerian fashion, in photography, materials and pose, has changed from decade to decade.
Nonetheless, the website was used in a Web Design Competition and I'm glad I was able to celebrate the ever-growing industry of Nigerian Fashion.
