The client wanted a rainbow in their logo. 🌈
Premium apartments and green land around Budva, Montenegro. And the brief said the logo had to have rainbow colours in it.
I tried to talk them out of it. Rainbow palettes in property branding usually end up looking like a budget airline or a nursery and definitely not for premium real estate brand..
So I asked why. Turned out they were sick of looking like every navy and gold agency on the coast, and the colour was meant to stand for range, all the different people they sell to.
The colour stayed and the brand mark had to carry it.
The mark is a house built out of the landscape it sits in. Hills and water and the arch of a doorway, all drawn as one run of stacked contour lines, so the colour sits inside the structure instead of on top of it.
Lighthouse Property, 2022.
I still think the one-colour version is the better logo. Probably the rainbow is why anyone remembers it.
