Shamba Circle is a local-first, gamified financial literacy simulator for children and teens that mirrors the real-world economics of East African table banking (Chamas) and high-yield biointensive agriculture. The visual identity is minimalist, low-poly, and voxel-inspired (Minecraft/Crossy Road aesthetic). The interface avoids dense data tables or complex corporate banking terminology, translating financial metrics into spatial, tangible tasks. A child managing their individual quarter-acre hex grid learns cash-flow management, portfolio diversification, and risk mitigation. When they interact with the central community space, they navigate peer-to-peer lending, shared asset investments, and guarantee-ship structures, visually discovering how personal financial choices directly affect collective community strength.
Made using Figma Make. Used Gemini 3 Flash to get the initial look and structure then moved to GPT-5.5 to iron out the core functionality then rounded out the finishing touches in Claude.
Used the Figma MCP to get the project locally and explore different versions of changes locally using Claude as well as remotion to explore different potential videos.
Project is live on
