From email chaos to a real client portal: SPS Accounting gets a glow Most local accounting firms in Romania run on email attachments and phone calls. SPS Accounting, a small practice in Bucharest, was no exception. Their old website was an unfinished page builder template: lorem ipsum in the hero, "Sample Headline" blocks left untouched, stock photos, and "learn more" buttons pointing to the template vendor instead of the firm. Meanwhile, real documents got lost in inboxes and real leads arrived by phone and vanished.
For the Give it a Glow Challenge I rebuilt their entire digital presence in Base44. Not just a prettier website, but a system that changes how the firm actually operates day to day.

The glow has two layers.
The public site is the trust layer. Swiss-style grid, white space doing the heavy lifting, a single electric blue accent, large Inter headlines. Six services, team, stats, testimonials, FAQ and a contact section with an embedded map. Everything in Romanian, written for the local business owners the firm serves. Tagline: "Arhitectura Fiscală pentru afacerea ta."
The client portal is where the real transformation happens. Clients log in (accounts are created by the firm, no public signup, as it should be for an accounting practice) and upload their documents tagged by category and by mandatory fiscal period, month and year. Because accounting lives in fiscal periods, not upload dates. Admins review each document and approve or reject it with a note the client can see, so nothing gets stuck in "why was this refused" limbo. And the flow is bidirectional: the firm sends back balance sheets, filed declarations and payroll statements, each with a "new" badge until the client opens it.
Working automations: every contact form submission is saved as a Lead with a full status pipeline (nou / contactat / convertit / arhivat) and instantly triggers an email notification to the admin, so no lead waits until someone remembers to check. Password resets run end to end automatically. The admin dashboard aggregates everything live: total clients, total documents, pending reviews, unread leads.
Since financial documents contain sensitive personal data, GDPR is built in, not bolted on: consent checkbox on the form, privacy policy, cookie banner, and a deletion flow where the admin chooses whether a removed client's documents go with the account or stay archived.
