Healthcare, Banking, and Governments Hit in 24-Hour Cyber Storm

In the last 24 hours, cyber threat actors have launched coordinated attacks across three critical sectors.

1. HEALTHCARE UNDER SIEGE Ransomware groups Krybit and MedusaLocker have listed two medical platforms in the last 48 hours: daralteb.com and Millensys, a medical imaging provider. In Canada, the Storm group disrupted Nipigon District Memorial Hospital, taking down diagnostic imaging and lab systems. Attack method: Double-extortion - stealing patient files before encrypting systems.

2. BANKING PHISHING WAVE Singapore Police confirmed 246 cases of social-media phishing since July with losses of S$1.4 million. Attackers use fake ads for cheap products to redirect victims to fake banking pages to steal card details and OTPs. Meanwhile, 7 financial institutions confirmed customer data leaks being used for voice-phishing impersonating bank staff.

3. NATION-STATE ATTACKS Microsoft's Digital Defense Report 2026 (Oct 1) confirms government agencies are now the #1 target at 27% of all cyber threats, up from 17% last year. Denmark confirmed yesterday a historic breach of its Central Person Register with 8 million citizens' records stolen.
