A few weeks ago, I visited a dermatologist in Lucknow, India, with my mother. He’s a doctor we really trust, but we’ve often had to take a token, wait at the reception, and sit until our turn. When I saw the Lovable Challenge on Contra, I thought it would be a good opportunity to solve a problem I’ve personally experienced.
I’m a brand and visual designer, and most of my work so far has been around branding, packaging, and visual design. I had never designed or built a digital product like this before, so I wanted to use this challenge as an opportunity to step outside what I normally do and actually build something.
I built a clinic-owned booking experience for Nimra Dermatology Clinic, a fictional independent clinic in Lucknow, India. While clinics here already use third-party apps for appointments, I wanted to explore what it could look like if patients could book directly through the clinic’s own website, especially when they’re already choosing a doctor they trust.
The experience lets patients learn about the clinic and doctor, choose a future date and available time, enter their details, review the appointment, and confirm it. I kept same-day booking unavailable because the clinic still needs to handle walk-ins.
I kept the experience simple and focused on one goal: making it easier to go from “I want an appointment” to “I’m booked.”
