Meet MonogramLab Project link: https://garb-finder-82804986.figma.site/ Whether you’re a designer looking for fresh ideas during the ideation phase, a founder building a brand on a budget, or a couple planning a wedding and wanting a beautiful lockup of your initials, this tool helps you create unique monograms in seconds. Goal: Raise the bar for free design tools by making high-quality design exploration accessible to both designers and non-designers. Back story: While working on a recent freelance project, I needed to create a monogram logo for a client. As usual, I started with some research and a quick search for existing monogram generators — not because I wanted a final solution, but because it’s a useful way to kickstart the ideation process. If you’re a designer, you know that a blank canvas can be intimidating, and sometimes a few exploratory clicks are enough to get the creative juices flowing. What I found was surprising. Most of the free monogram generators available today feel like they’re stuck in a different era: limited customization, outdated aesthetics, and little consideration for modern branding needs. That experience sparked the idea for this project. What if there was a modern monogram generator that produced designs you’d actually want to use—or at the very least, use as a meaningful starting point? A tool that helps designers explore concepts faster while also giving non-designers access to monogram designs without needing a design budget.
