I am selecting a custom contract and when I go to sign it, all the pages are blank except for the bottom one that is generated by Contra. Anyone know why that might be the case?

Hey @Ben Hansen! Any chance this file is encrypted? If so, you'll need to upload a non-encrypted version for it to be visible on Contra. If not, lmk!

@Isabel Feuerstein I don't think it is encrypted. I can open it without being signed in to anything. It does come from adobe acrobat sign.

@Ben Hansen Got it! Just sent you an email from hello@contra.com so we can look into this more

@Ben Hansen custom is for if you have your own contract you want to use. I assume you would upload it separately to have it on hand, but I am not sure what that process looks like

@Kyle Humber Yeah I am using my own contract that we already signed via adobe acrobat sign. I just want to use contra as the payment manager.

@Madi 💫 do you know if it is possible to set up the payment without having contra wrap a contract around mine? I assumed if I was uploading a custom contract, then it would just use that contract that we already agreed on. I am just trying to bring clients not already on Contra into Contra and I am having a rough time doing that.

When you say “wrap a contract around mine,” do you mean you'd prefer Contra not to add any structure like scope or deliverables?
If so, the best option would be to use a one-off invoice, which is more flexible and doesn’t require setting up a full project or proposal on Contra....

@Nia Nguyen I see that option. I want to make sure that I can have the project be a verified project. If I do the invoice through you but the contract on the side, can I still have a verified project?

@Ben Hansen Hey Ben! Sorry this feels inconvenient! However, the reason we add the signature wrapper is to ensure that the core elements are all present, and to add language that will resolve issues in case the custom contract differs with core terms of service on the Contra platform....
