"Let the ideas keep talking and talking."
That line from David Lynch inspired me.
Twenty years ago, when I was a young filmmaker, I was divided about digital. And here's Lynch calling film "a dinosaur."
I felt avant-garde shooting shorts on DV. This was pre-HD video. Pre-YouTube. It's how I cut my teeth. It's how I learned to frame, edit, and tell stories.
Lynch wasn't interested in defending celluloid. He loved cinema.
We're having the same argument again with AI. It feels like deja vu.
More people will make stuff. Almost everyone will make stuff. Most will be crap. But those with a calling to tell stories will use these tools and tell wonderful stories that inspire us all.
For Lynch, following curiosity was the goal. Not a standard.
He was avant-garde.
We can now be avant-garde in a new era. With new tools and new worlds to build that will keep the ideas talking and talking in different ways.

I wanted to see how far I could push Seedance 2.0 and GPT Image 2 by using them non-linearly. Instead of generating single clips, I used a Custom Text node to set a strict visual language, built a 2x2 storyboard sheet to guarantee asset control, and fed that entire structure into the video engine.
The final cut features custom sound nodes to drive the narrative pacing from a quiet opening whisper to a massive industrial crescendo.

Spent the last few days building an original animated short film completely with Melius AI.
Title: “The Fruit That Fell” 🌤️
A cinematic emotional story about friendship, anger, and regret — set in a floating island world above the clouds.
The crazy part:
Every 8–10 second scene is generated separately inside Melius AI, but designed with full continuity:
• same characters
• same lighting
• same environments
• connected camera movement
• seamless emotional progression
We created a structured cinematic prompt system to make the entire film feel like ONE continuous animated movie instead of disconnected AI clips.
This is where AI filmmaking gets really interesting.
Not random generations.
Actual cinematic storytelling.
Next step:
turning this into a full 1:27-minute animated short film with complete visual continuity.
