I noticed PowerPoint recently rolled out a pretty practical update to help with this: an "allow editing" toggle for Copilot.

Normally, the AI just talks at you in the sidebar. With this turned on, it can actually make structural and visual changes to the file.

I was testing it out on a deck. I asked it to update the green accents, and it didn't just blindly guess.

It actually stopped, asked me to clarify which specific shade of green I meant, and once I confirmed, it updated the whole file and showed me a before/after.

It’s just a quality-of-life feature, but anything that cuts down the time spent manually clicking through individual elements is a win for your workflow.

I created an image with ChatGPT, turned it into a video with Melius, and added a bit of typography to make a video around the line:

“y’all actually know what this is for?”

Thanks to Melius, which actually understands what I’m asking for, even someone like me who doesn’t edit videos at all was able to get a pretty decent result.
