I recorded a quick tutorial showing how I animated a simple checkmark icon using Figma Motion.
At first, it looks like a very simple animation, but small interactions like this can make a UI feel much more polished and satisfying.
In the tutorial, I walk through how I:
Created the checkmark icon
Set up the layers for animation
Added the motion
Controlled the timing and movement
Adjusted the animation to make it feel smoother
Previewed the final interaction
The goal is to show that you don't always need complicated animations to make a design feel better.
Sometimes, a small checkmark animation after completing an action is enough to give users clear feedback and make the experience feel more interactive.
I’m sharing the process so other designers can follow along and try it themselves.

If you're a designer exploring motion in Figma, I hope this tutorial helps you experiment with your own UI animations.
