Tip: Scope the deliverable before you touch a single pixel.

The fastest way to blow a deadline (or a client relationship) is starting design work before you've nailed down what "done" looks like. Before I open Figma, WordPress, or Premiere, I write a one-liner for every deliverable: what it is, what format it ships in, and when it's due.

For a website build, that might be: "5-page responsive site, WordPress + Elementor, delivered as a live staging link by Friday." For a reel edit: "3 vertical reels, 15-30s each, exported as MP4, delivered within 48 hours."

It takes 10 minutes upfront and saves hours of revision ping-pong later. Clients trust you more when you define the finish line before the race starts.
