The hard part of this project wasn't the tech at all. It was trust.
Parents are sending videos of their kids to strangers on the internet. If the product feels anything less than premium, that trust breaks before the first lesson even ships.
So we focused on a few things:
Brand direction. The client came in wanting red, white, and blue, classic baseball. We pushed for dark green and gold instead, closer to a Baylor look. It reads professional instead of playful, which matters when you're asking parents to hand over their kids' footage.
A clear lesson lifecycle. Four states (pending, in progress, completed, expired), so nobody's guessing where their video went.
Automatic payment release. The coach delivers, the payment clears. No approval step in between. The expired status acts as the safety net instead.
