Why does presenting finished work online sometimes feel harder than finishing the work itself?
You finish the project Then comes the part where you need to show it And somehow, it becomes its own complex unpaid project
I recently ran a small survey among designers, and a lot of people mentioned the same things: ✦ wanting to use motion, but not having motion design skills ✦ having to reinvent the presentation format every time ✦ feeling like the work doesn't look online as good as it should
So apparently, it's not only my personal designer drama
I've been thinking about this a lot lately because I'm building something around it. Something for designers who want their work to look good online without turning every post into a full production
Do you struggle with this too, or have you already found your system?

Total designer drama, but it's universal! We focus so much on the craft that the 'marketing' of the craft feels like an alien task. I've found that having a modular design system for presentations is the only way to stay consistent. Really curious to see how your project solves the 'motion' bottleneck!

Totally agree about modular systems! That's the direction I'm exploring too, so we don’t have to build everything from scratch every time

I feel this. It’s the paradox of being a perfectionist; you spend 40 hours on a project only to spend another 20 trying to figure out how to condense those 40 hours into a 10-second slide.😂
It’s even tougher for me as an SEO/AEO specialist; making technical wins 'look' as good...

The struggle is real! Trying to make a technical SEO win look as 'sexy' as a 3D animation is the ultimate design challenge. It’s that extra 10% of polish that turns a report into a Visual Authority moment. Cheers to whoever finally simplifies this!

Ahhh yes! "condensing 40 hours into 10 seconds" is painfully accurate 😂
Thank you so much 🫶 excited to share more soon!

I find this very funny because i recently rounded up a project and i'm currently thinking about how to post
The issues from my pov are where to begin so i start looking for inspiration, thinking about captions and ultimately doubt (is the post gonna do well or not)

The post-project doubt is the ultimate boss fight!
🎮 Looking for inspiration often leads to comparison, which is the enemy of shipping. I've started treating my own posts like a 'client brief' just to get them out the door. Can't wait to see this one live, don't let the draft folder win!

Yeeeah, inspiration research is my personal abyss 🫠 I usually open a million tabs, collect 47 possible directions, and still end up with no actual post
