One thing building payment infrastructure taught me: A Stripe integration isn't finished when the customer reaches Checkout. The interesting backend work starts around the payment. A reliable payment flow has to think about: Customer → Checkout → Stripe → Webhook → Backend → Database That means handling things like webhook verification, payment state, duplicate events, failures, backend validation, and what the application should do after Stripe reports an event. Working through this in Python and FastAPI changed how I thought about payment integrations. The goal isn't simply to accept money. The goal is to build a backend that can reliably understand what happened and respond correctly. That's a much more interesting engineering problem. #Python #FastAPI #Stripe #BackendEngineering #APIDevelopment #Webhooks

Over the last several months, I've been making a serious transition into software development. But I didn't want that transition to consist only of courses, tutorials, and certificates. I wanted to build something real. That's become GhostOps OS — a modular business operations platform I've been architecting and developing through Ghost Ops Solutions. The work has pushed me across: • Python + FastAPI • PostgreSQL + SQL • REST API design • Stripe Checkout + webhooks • JavaScript, TypeScript + Node.js • Authentication and database-backed workflows • Business automation • Debugging, testing and deployment One of the biggest things I've learned is that knowing syntax and engineering a system are two very different things. Building GhostOps has forced me to think about architecture, failure states, data flow, maintainability, user workflows, and what happens when separate systems actually have to work together. I'm still learning. I'm still building. And that's exactly where I want to be. I'm looking forward to sharing more of the technical work, problems, mistakes, and lessons behind the platform as it develops. #SoftwareDevelopment #Python #FastAPI #BackendDevelopment #PostgreSQL #BuildInPublic
