A great video can still get ignored if the packaging doesn’t do it justice. I recently worked on a thumbnail for Shubham Sharma’s video, “Why Video Editing Is Destroying Your Mental Health.” Shubham told me this video was extremely important to him, so I knew the thumbnail had to carry more than just visual appeal. The goal was to communicate the emotional weight of the topic, create curiosity, and make the viewer want to know more. I built the direction around concept + psychology + visual storytelling + design because a thumbnail shouldn’t just explain the video.
