The Lab: small things I build when I get curious
Sometimes I see something and wonder “how does that actually work?” Instead of just reading about it, I build a small version of it. The Lab is where those little experiments live. None of them were planned as projects; each one started with a question and turned into something you can play with.
Everything here is plain JavaScript and HTML Canvas, with no libraries, because writing it from scratch is the fun part, and the best way I know to really understand something.
🌀 Flow field
I got curious about those flowing, hair-like generative art pieces. It turns out they’re thousands of particles following an invisible “wind map” made from noise. So I wrote the noise function by hand and let 2,000 particles drift through it. You can play with the speed, colours and line thickness, and every run draws a different picture.
🎵 Sort-sonic
In college, sorting algorithms were just diagrams to me. I wanted to see the difference, and then I thought, why not hear it too? Every comparison plays a note, so bubble sort sounds busy and messy while merge sort sounds rhythmic and calm. It started as a Python project (Algo-Sonic) and I rebuilt it for the browser.
🧩 Maze
I wanted to watch how a computer builds a maze and then finds its way out. It carves the maze step by step, then searches for the shortest path live, cell by cell, so you can see it “think”.
🔴 Bounce
The simplest one, and probably the most fun. Click anywhere to drop a ball, and they fall, bounce and bump into each other. Turn gravity up or down, make them bouncier, hit “Rain” and then “Shake”.
These little experiments are how I learn, and they’ve made me much better at the things clients actually need: smooth animations, interactive moments and pages that feel alive.

A real-time dashboard I designed and built for a payment system, so a team can see at a glance that no payment is lost or paid twice, even while things go wrong.
Design highlights
A “promises” scoreboard: three big rings (Lost, Sent twice, Stuck) that stay green at 0
A one-click, 90-second demo that plays a story on the live system: the network gets flaky, a worker crashes mid-payment, the network goes down, the team fixes it, and the day ends balanced
A life story for every payment: click any payment to see each retry, who handled it and why
Live charts and a control room to break the network on purpose and watch the system recover
End-of-day reconciliation in one click, checked against the payment network’s own records
Not a mock-up: it’s connected to a working payment engine I also built (Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis), so every number on screen is real.
Built with: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no framework.

Upload a PDF, Word or text file and ask questions about it in plain language. Askive answers from the document itself and shows the exact passages each answer came from, so you can trust what it says.
What I built
A clean chat interface with the document previewed alongside the conversation
Smart search that understands both meaning and exact words (embeddings + keyword search)
Answers written by Google Gemini using only what it found in your document, with sources under every answer
Follow-up questions that remember the conversation
Accounts, so each person only ever sees their own documents
Instant repeat answers thanks to caching (about 4.5 s down to 11 ms)
Built with: Python, FastAPI, ChromaDB, Voyage AI, Gemini, Redis and Postgres, with an HTML, CSS and JavaScript front end. Packaged with Docker and deployed on Kubernetes with autoscaling.

I designed and built my portfolio from scratch to show who I am and what I build, all in one scroll.
What’s in it
An animated network background that moves gently behind the page
A working terminal visitors can type into (try projects or joke)
Project cards that tell each story in four lines: goal, built, hurdle, fix
A responsive layout that looks just as good on a phone as on a laptop
Built with: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no framework, so it loads fast. Deployed on Vercel.
