I needed a pdf under 30mb to upload as a source in a claude project. ilovepdf wouldn't get there, I compressed the same file 3 times and still didn't land under the limit since my file was over 60mb.
I've got a pile of literature books I want to load into claude, all of them too big, all of them needing to come down to a number I already knew. Nobody compresses a pdf to read it. They do it because the file has to fit a size they already know. An email cap, an upload limit. you walk in with a number, and every tool makes you pick vague quality presets instead.
So I built one that just takes the number. You type the size you need, it finds what hits it and shows you the tradeoffs.
