I will thoroughly proofread your short story or novel, up to 120,000 words in length! This service is designed for writers who have a polished piece of writing and need someone to do one last proofread to ensure the fewest mistakes possible before you publish or share your writing.

I will provide you with a reader report that covers the following:

Character - are your characters consistent? Does each character have an individual voice? Do they add something to the story?

Story - Does your piece have a story? Do the characters have internal conflicts? Will the reader care about your characters and what's happening in the story?

Plot - YES. Your plot is separate from your story. The story is the most important part--it's what makes us (the readers) care about your characters--but is the plot working? This is the broader content of your piece.

Grammar and punctuation - I will make sure your piece is clean and easy to read!

I will work in nearly any genre, but my specialties are fantasy (including urban, contemporary, dystopian, etc), romance, and young adult. I'm always happy to break out of my comfort zone though!

Pricing is $0.003 per word, beginning at $15.00 for 5,000 words. Contact me if you have any concerns over the pricing.

What's included

Line Edits
Once I have completed proofreading your piece, I will provide you with a word document that includes line edits. I will not actually alter your writing, but I will provide comments on any mistakes I catch or suggestions I may have.
Reader Report
I will provide at least one page of written feedback in a reader report. I can provide both a Word and PDF version of the reader report. In the report, I will cover anything from pacing to character development. The reader report is designed to give you a sense of what readers will think of your piece.
