About this service

Summary

I'm a copywriter with the heart of an artist / goblin / voracious reader / snooty restaurant critic / bug watcher / traveling accordion player. Except I don't play the accordion. I'm a multi-hyphenate creator that learned how to sell through words after working in everything from fine-dining to commercial backdrop painting.

Process

Step 1: Let’s Chat
Schedule a call so we can have a few words. You’ll let me know what you’re looking for, and I’ll let you know how much I charge. We’ll figure out if we are excited about working together. Then, we'll set up a Strategy Call, where I delve deep into the how and why of your brand so I can write like I’m its godmother.
Step 2: Work, work, work, work, work…I vanish into a cloud of uninterrupted writing time. Depending on the size of the project, I usually reappear in your inbox after seven days.
Step 3: We schedule the big reveal. I present you with the copy, and you have a few days to pick it apart, lovingly stare at it, and give me a list of any edits you need. With edits in hand, I again enter my cloud of uninterrupted writing time and deliver updated copy within two days.
Step 4: Party Time
We laugh, we celebrate, you pay me, you make a bajillion dollars, we promise to work together again forever and ever.

FAQs

  • How much do you charge?

It totally depends on the project and your needs. I’ve been known to write an intro email sequence for $750. But if you’re more interested in price than client experience and the quality of the work, may I gently suggest you move along?

  • Why don’t I just hire another writer?

If there is another copywriter you are obsessed with, please don’t let me stand in the way of love! But if you’re interested in working with a writer who is just as committed to a seamless client experience as elegant, precise copy, then I hope you stick around. And if we have a call and I think there is a better writer for you, I’m not going to hesitate to recommend them instead.

  • Do you use AI?

Ah, AI— the mysterious new writer in town. Is she evil? Is she a genius? Is she conscious? Regardless of where you stand with AI, it’s not going anywhere, and I think it’s irresponsible for any copywriter to ignore something this disruptive. I’ve experimented quite a bit with AI to determine where it can strengthen my work, and where it makes it crumble. So far, I view AI as a great tool for research, inspiration, and pulling the threads of your own creativity. I don’t use it to straight-up write copy…yet. And I’m not convinced it won’t rule us all one day.

  • Do you insist on talking like that?

Talking like what? As a copywriter, a gigantic part of my job is understanding your audience and what tone, voice, and cadence make the most sense to put out in the world. I will match my writing style to what you need. But please know — if you’re a bubbly boss babe type, my inner Daria will be seething.

  • How quickly will I get my copy?

I aim to finish your copy in ten days. However, this depends on your timely response, the scope of the project, and any possible Global Nightmare Catastrophe we may face as a society—which would likely keep us both away from our keyboards.

  • Do you offer free samples?

Sure don’t darlin’—but I do insist on a smaller trial project before entering into a long-term retainer project. We don’t jump into the deep end with no floaties on here.

  • Who are the copywriters?

C’est Moi! It’s me. My name is Nora, and I run this corner of the copywriting realm. I work with a small team of editors, so I know I’m sending you copy free of typos or other silly little flaws.

  • What’s the delivery process?

I deliver all my copy via Google Docs. If you are looking to upload to your various platforms, I am happy to act as a manager on your behalf—which could look like finding you a VA, setting timelines, and keeping them on track. Ask me about online business management if you need some tasks taken off your plate or don’t know what to do with your freshly baked Google Doc of copy.
