About this service

Summary

We start any Branding project with research. We perform an in-depth analysis of your business to give us a better understanding of what you want to achieve. Research into your business's industry, competitors, and target audience allow us to position your brand in the right place within the market.
While research isn’t a deliverable, we will always present you with our findings. It forms a solid foundation on which the brand can be built and informs decisions made during the development process. We often reference our research when explaining the reason behind some of our design choices later in the project.

What's included

  • Logo

The function of a logo is to act as an identifier. It should be versatile in that it can be easily used in different settings. For this reason, you will need various versions of your logo. Typically, this will include a full-color version, a white version, a black version, and alternative color versions if appropriate. These should all be provided in a number of sizes.

  • Stationery

Your new identity should always include a business card. Both the front and back should be designed. Letterhead and envelopes may also be included. If they are, the design of these should be practical. Unless you plan on getting these professionally printed (something that is less prevalent today) they should not include complete bleed elements. They should be designed for apps you and your team use to write letters, such as Word or Google Docs.

  • Design Guide

The design or style guide should provide you with all the information you need to consistently present your brand identity in a coherent manner as we advance. You should also be able to use the style guide as a way to offer your brand identity to your employees when you launch (or relaunch) your brand and to new hires as they join your organization. This is an important document and should be used by anyone involved in producing any and all brand elements.

  • Mood Boards

Mood boards show the visual direction of your brand. We curate images, colors, and typefaces and present you with our vision for your brand based on our initial research. As the mood board is not a final piece of artwork, it’s an ideal milestone during the project to ensure that we all agree on the visual direction that the brand is heading. The mood board is a valuable reference throughout the development stages of the branding process, it also serves as a reminder of the original direction chosen for the brand should you need a source of inspiration to keep it on the right path.
