Here's how it happens:
1. Kick-off interview call (video optional)
I'll ask you a series of questions. We will define - Your business objectives - The essence of your content You will verbally sign off on both.
2. Logline -- 2 to 3 sentences describing your book.
I will give you a draft of your logline. Up to 2 revisions. Your logline is excellent marketing content. You will sign off on it before we proceed.
3. Book Blurb
500 - 750 word sales pitch for your book to be used on platform landing pages (such as Amazon) and on the back cover of your book. Up to 2 revisions. This is also excellent marketing content. You will sign off on it before we proceed.
4. Top-Level Outline
The main topics of up to 15 chapters, putting your concept into a narrative your audience can understand. Up to 2 revisions, and another sign-off.
5. Interview calls (up to 90 minutes each, 3 to 5 needed)
I will have questions and will ask you to tell me a few stories about your experiences.
6. Detailed Outline
All of yuour ideas and stories will be woven into your top-level outline. This will define the structure and content of your book. Up to 2 revisions. Another sign-off
7. Introduction and/or First Chapter(s)
The first 3,000 words of your book, following directly from your logline and book blurb. This is the first time I'll try to capture your voice. Up to 2 revisions. Another sign-off.
8. First draft of your book
I'll deliver a complete draft and do up to 2 revisions.
9. Final draft of your book
When the revisions are done, your book is done! This entire process can be completed within 60 to 90 days.
