Process

Phase I - Meet and Greet Once we begin, we'll schedule a kickoff call to get to know each other and dive into your project details. Share your vision and ideal outcomes with me, and after our conversation, I'll provide a Brand Worksheet for you to complete. This will help us align on both the strategic and visual direction for the moodboards. Phase II - Moodboards We'll dive into moodboards once we're aligned on overarching ideas and themes. Here you'll see 2-3 examples of how your brand will come to life, including logos, color palettes, typefaces, and collateral examples. This phase helps visualize the creative direction and ensure we're on the same page before proceeding.
Phase III - Design With the direction set, we’ll move on to creating original designs for your logos and any necessary sub-logos. This phase involves crafting distinct visual elements that represent your brand and align with the chosen moodboard direction. Phase IV - Color Palette + Typographic Hierarchy Once the logo designs are finalized, we’ll develop a customized color palette and establish a typographic hierarchy. This ensures that your brand’s visual elements are cohesive and work harmoniously across all applications. Phase V - Pattern Development (if applicable) If relevant to your brand, we’ll create unique patterns and graphic elements that enhance your brand identity. These patterns can be used in various collateral to add consistency and visual interest. Phase VI - Last Look In this phase, we’ll review all the design elements together to make any final adjustments. This is your opportunity to ensure everything meets your expectations and make any necessary refinements before finalizing. Phase VII - File Delivery Finally, we’ll prepare and deliver all your brand assets in the required formats. You’ll receive the final files for your logo, color palette, typography, patterns, and any other elements included in the project, ready for use across all your brand’s touchpoints.

FAQs

  • What should I prepare for the kickoff call?

For the kickoff call, come prepared to discuss your brand’s vision, goals, target audience, and any specific preferences or ideas you have. This will help us understand your project better and guide the creation of moodboards and other design elements.

  • How long will the entire branding process take?

The timeline for the branding process can vary based on the complexity of the project and your feedback response time. On average, the process takes somewhere between 4-8 weeks, but we'll provide a more precise timeline after our initial discussions.

  • What is a moodboard, and why is it important?

A moodboard is a visual collage that showcases ideas for how your brand could look and feel. It includes elements like logos, color palettes, and typefaces. This helps us align on the overall aesthetic and direction before diving into detailed design work. All great brands start with another brand they were inspired by, this is our chance to see who's done it well.

  • How many logo concepts will I receive?

You will receive 2-3 original logo concepts during the design phase. These concepts will be based on the direction we agree upon from the moodboards, giving you options to choose from.

  • What if I need changes to the design after Phase III?

2 rounds of revisions are included in Phase III to refine your logo designs. Additional revisions can be discussed if needed, and a quote will be provided for any extra work beyond the included revisions.

  • Will I have input on the color palette and typography choices?

Absolutely! In Phase IV, you’ll have the opportunity to review and provide feedback on the proposed color palette and typographic hierarchy. We want to ensure these elements align with your vision and brand voice.

  • What is pattern development, and when is it used?

Pattern development involves creating unique graphic patterns that can be used across your brand’s materials, such as packaging or promotional items. It’s used when patterns will enhance your brand identity and add visual interest. Think Social Media Posts, Merchandise, Business Cards, etc.

  • What does the “Last Look” phase entail?

The "Last Look" phase is a final review of all design elements. You’ll have the opportunity to make any last-minute changes or adjustments before we finalize and prepare the files for delivery. If there are a high number of edits to be made at this phase, a quote will be provided for additional work.

  • In what formats will I receive my final files?

You’ll receive your final brand assets in various formats suitable for both print and digital use, including vector files (like AI and EPS), raster files (like JPG and PNG), and any other formats required for your specific needs.

  • Can I request additional materials or services beyond the outlined phases?

Yes, additional materials or services can be requested. If you need anything beyond the initial scope, such as extra collateral or extended branding elements, we can discuss your needs and provide a quote for any additional work.
