About this service

Summary

Editorial illustrations accompany written content in magazines, newspapers, blogs, newsletters, and more. They help to communicate complex ideas in an accessible and engaging way and also can help the reader to follow the text simply by breaking it into smaller pieces.

Process

1. Preparation.
This is where after reading and discussing the brief I take time to learn as much as I can about the project as well as the audience we want to engage.
2. Doodle stage.
This is where I let my imagination and intuition have a bit of play and I create first sketches on paper or the computer.
3. Evaluation.
Based on previous sketches and conversations with you, I now start creating the initial first draft on the computer.
4. Elaboration.
If I am happy with the illustrations I send them to you and we check them against the brief again and discuss the potential changes.
I implement the changes and send for another feedback until everyone agrees they work.
5. Sign off.
If we are all happy with the outcome, I prepare the files in the formats we have agreed on earlier (EPS, PNG, JPEG)
