My unique approach lies in delivering highly customized, user-friendly dashboards that empower you to make data-driven decisions—no technical skills required.

Process

1. Initial Consultation
Objective: Understand the client’s business needs and key metrics.
Discussion: During an initial call or email exchange, we’ll discuss the client’s goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and specific metrics they want to track (e.g., sales, customer feedback, operational efficiency).
Dashboard Tier Selection: Based on the complexity of the client’s needs, we’ll confirm whether the Basic, Standard, or Advanced plan is the most suitable.
2. Data Collection
Objective: Gather the necessary data sources for KPI tracking.
Client Input: The client provides the relevant data for the dashboard. This could include Excel files, CSV exports, or other data sources like financial reports, CRM exports, or web analytics.
Data Review: I review the data to ensure it is clean and suitable for analysis. If data is incomplete or requires further organization, I may suggest simple improvements or ask for clarification from the client.
3. Dashboard Design and KPI Selection
Objective: Define the structure and appearance of the dashboard, ensuring it aligns with the client’s requirements.
KPI Definition: We finalize the specific KPIs to be tracked (e.g., total sales, profit margin, customer satisfaction score).
Layout & Design: I create a preliminary layout for the dashboard, organizing how the KPIs will be displayed (charts, graphs, tables, etc.).
Client Approval: For Standard and Advanced plans, I share the initial design concept for feedback before moving forward with the full build.
4. Dashboard Development
Objective: Build the dashboard according to the selected tier.
Basic Plan:
Create a clean, simple dashboard that tracks up to 3 KPIs.
Add basic data visualizations (e.g., bar/line charts).
Set up basic filters and automatic data entry features.
5. Client Review and Feedback
Objective: Ensure the dashboard meets the client’s needs and make any necessary adjustments.
First Draft: I share the first version of the dashboard with the client for review.
Feedback Session: The client provides feedback on the dashboard’s functionality, design, and accuracy of the KPIs.
Revisions: Depending on the plan, I make revisions (2 for Basic, 3 for Standard, 5 for Advanced) based on the client’s feedback.
6. Final Delivery
Objective: Provide the finalized dashboard and ensure it’s fully operational for the client’s needs.
Final Version: After incorporating revisions, I deliver the final version of the dashboard in Excel format.
Walkthrough: I offer a walkthrough session where I explain how to use the dashboard, manage data updates, and utilize the interactive features.

FAQs

  • What is a KPI dashboard, and why do I need one?

A KPI (Key Performance Indicator) dashboard is a tool that visually displays key metrics to help you monitor your business's performance. It helps track progress toward goals, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Whether you're a small business owner, manager, or entrepreneur, a KPI dashboard ensures you always have insights into critical areas like sales, customer satisfaction, and productivity.

  • What’s the difference between the Basic, Standard, and Advanced plans?

    - Basic Plan (£50): Includes up to 3 KPIs, basic charts and graphs, and manual data entry from one data source. - Standard Plan (£75): Offers up to 5 KPIs, advanced data visualization, integration of multiple data sources (up to 2), and automated data refreshes. - Advanced Plan (£100): Provides full customization, up to 10 KPIs, complex visualizations, automated updates from multiple data sources (up to 4), goal-setting, alerts, and advanced filters.

  • How do I know which plan is right for me?

    - Choose the Basic Plan if you have a small business or simple tracking needs (3 KPIs or less). - The Standard Plan is ideal for small to medium-sized businesses that need more customization and automation (up to 5 KPIs). - The Advanced Plan is perfect for larger businesses with complex data tracking needs (up to 10 KPIs).

  • What data sources can be integrated into the dashboard?

I can integrate data from various Excel files or spreadsheets. This could include sales data, CRM exports, website analytics, marketing performance metrics, and more. If you have specific sources in mind, we can discuss the best way to link them.
