Process

Transparency and a very good process are highly important in building successful partnerships. Here, I have broken down my workflow and design process so you have clarity of what to expect.

My workflow is divided into 7 processes. These are

01. Initial Contact

Okay so you are here! First things first is to get to know you, your business, understand your needs and how I can help you.

02. Discovery Call

We hop on a quick 45 minutes - 1 hour call to outline the full scope of the project, deliverables, milestones, timelines, budgets, etc. Typically, these are all verbally agreed upon on this call. Here I have your brief and we discuss to have all details aligned.

03. Proposal

I’ll send over a project proposal which details the scope, deliverables, the contract and invoice; all as we agreed upon on the call. You take your time to go through it. Once approved, Then I guide you on to the next steps of signing the contract.

04. Seal the deal and Set up

Once you have approved the proposal, signed the contract and have made 50% deposit, then the deal is sealed and we can proceed to set up the project .

We also discuss communication set up. Then I request more info from you which can help give direction to my process.

NB: When all necessary info has been gotten, I inform you of my start date and as well carry you along with the process.

05. Project Starts:

So we have made all initial discussions, sealed the deal and agreed on the project set-up. I start by setting up the project and files connected to the project. This is where I get to implement my plan which has been detailed in the proposal. I get to proceed on the design proper from the start date agreed on.

While projects are unique on their own, My proposal will contain my design process tailored to your project . Just to let you know how it works , my design plan usually revolves around these processes below. These are

Research and Discovery: Having had your brief and additional info requested, I begin my process by deeply analysing the document. This eventually allows me to distill the brief down to be able to understand your needs (vision, mission.t.c). I’ll then dive into thorough research to fully understand the external challenges of your business covering your industry, competitor analysis and audience.

2. Define and Plan: Having had insights from the research and discovery phase, I then start to distill the data to get to define your audience into personas, problem statement, user stories and journeys, features list. Here, the value proposition is made and I get to compile the PRD.

3. Idea and concept or content structure: Ideas will have already started firing throughout the last two stages and now I can start to execute. This stage is ideally done very quickly; chicken-scratching as many ideas down and as fast as possible with no real precision. Once I feel I’ve exhausted all directions, I’ll go back through the pages and highlight any diamonds in the rough to explore further in the next stage. Here, I gather as much moodboard as possible that suits your vision and style.

4. Design: At this point, feedback has been shared on the previous stage and iterations have been made. I get to proceed to the visual design, the user interface design.

5. Test and Refining: So the high fidelity prototype has been made and ready to be tested by real-users. The usability test is carried out and feedback are collected to refine the designs. After refining and you are pleased with the designs, then we get to wrap up the project.

06 Project Wrap Up and Delivery

It’s now probably been weeks or months since the inception of the project and all feedback and iterations has been made and I am ready to present. I Offer a final walkthrough session with you to ensure you understand the designs and its structure. HERE , I

Discuss any potential next steps (e.g., moving to high-fidelity design or working with a developer).

Handover the project and collect final payment

After you’ve signed off the design, I’ll share the final invoice and once that has been paid, I’ll send over all the files and exports in an extremely organised folder system for you to use immediately

The project has come to an end, we get to wrap up and I send off your designs to you.

07 Reflect & Improve

I like to check in with my clients a couple of months after we complete our project to see how you’re getting on, so keep an eye out for me!

What do you need to get started?
At least 3-5 sample web designs you like to understand your vision and style. . A rough sketch of how you envision your web page. . Web Content (Content Copy) and Branding elements (Logo, Photos, Video links, color palette, font) and basically everything you want displayed on the landing page
What Software do you use to create the designs and Why?
I use FIGMA and this is because it is easy to use, accessible and very good for collaboration. It makes me easily hand-off to your developers
Do you use any mockups / templates in your work
No, my works are 100% originality and creativity. I start from a plane canvas
Will I get the source file?
