About this service

Summary

I create eye-catching animations that bring brands and ideas to life through motion. Whether it’s for marketing, UI/UX, or storytelling, I focus on making visuals not just beautiful but meaningful and engaging. What makes me different? I don’t just animate—I craft motion that connects with people and leaves a lasting impact.

Process

The Motion Design Process: From Idea to Final Animation
Creating motion design is more than just making things move—it's about telling a story, evoking emotion, and delivering a clear message. Here’s my step-by-step process to bring an animation to life:
1. Understanding the Project (The Why & What)
Before jumping into animation, I need to understand what we’re making and why. This means:
Talking with the client or team to understand their goals, brand, and audience.
Figuring out the key message—what should people feel or do after watching?
Checking references, mood boards, or inspirations to align on the visual style.
At this stage, I ask a lot of questions to make sure we’re all on the same page.
2. Scripting & Concept Development (The Blueprint)
Now it’s time to structure the idea. If there’s a script, I refine it to make sure it’s clear and engaging. If there’s no script, I help craft a simple storyline or flow.
For marketing videos: What’s the hook? How do we keep viewers engaged?
For UI/UX animations: How should motion guide the user experience?
For abstract animations: What visual metaphors can enhance the message?
This step is like building the foundation of a house—without it, everything falls apart later.
3. Storyboarding & Style Frames (The Visual Roadmap)
Now, I sketch out key scenes in a storyboard. These don’t have to be detailed, just enough to show the flow. Alongside this, I create style frames—high-quality stills that show how the final animation will look.
This helps the client/team visualize before I invest time in full motion.
It also locks in the colors, typography, and overall design style.
If this gets approved, we’re good to move forward!
4. Design & Asset Creation (Building the Pieces)
This is where I start designing all the elements needed for animation:
Illustrations (characters, icons, backgrounds, etc.).
Typography (choosing fonts and designing animated text).
3D assets (if it’s a 3D animation).
I make sure everything is layered and organized properly—future me will thank me when animating!
5. Animation (Bringing It to Life)
The most exciting part—motion! Using software like After Effects, Blender, or Cinema 4D, I start animating based on the storyboard.
I focus on timing and easing to make movement feel natural.
I add secondary animations (small details like bounce, overshoot, or follow-through) to make things feel alive.
If sound is included, I sync everything perfectly with music and voiceovers.
This step takes time, but it’s where the magic happens.
6. Review & Refinements (Making It Perfect)
Once the first version is ready, I send it for feedback. At this stage:
The client/team watches and notes any tweaks.
We adjust timing, colors, or any small details.
I fine-tune animations to make sure everything flows perfectly.
Sometimes, this takes one round of feedback; sometimes, a few. Either way, I make sure it’s polished.
7. Final Export & Delivery (Ready to Launch)
After all tweaks are done, I export the final animation in the best formats needed:
MP4 or MOV for videos.
GIF or Lottie files for web animations.
JSON or APNG for app animations.
If needed, I also provide different sizes for social media or mobile optimization.
And that’s it! 🚀
Motion design is a mix of creativity, problem-solving, and technical skill. Every project is different, but this process helps me turn ideas into smooth, engaging animations.

FAQs

  • What exactly is motion design?

Motion design is a mix of graphic design and animation. It’s used in ads, social media, apps, websites, and videos to make content more engaging through movement. Think of animated logos, explainer videos, and smooth UI transitions—that’s motion design!

  • How long does a motion design project take?

It depends on the complexity of the animation. A simple logo animation might take a few days, while a detailed explainer video could take a few weeks. On average, most projects take 1-4 weeks.

  • What software do you use?

I use industry-standard tools like: Adobe After Effects (main software for 2D animation) Cinema 4D or Blender (for 3D motion design) Illustrator & Photoshop (for creating assets) Figma & Lottie (for UI/UX animations)

  • What do you need from me to start a project?

To get started, I need: A brief or idea of what you’re looking for. Any branding guidelines (logos, colors, fonts, etc.). A script (if it’s a video) or general direction. Any references or inspirations you like. If you’re not sure, no worries! I can help guide the creative direction.

  • How much does motion design cost?

Pricing depends on complexity, length, and style. A simple animation (logo motion, short UI animation) may start at a few hundred dollars, while a high-end explainer video could be in the thousands. I offer custom quotes based on your needs.

  • Can you do revisions?

Yes! I include a few rounds of revisions in every project to make sure you’re happy. If additional changes are needed after final delivery, I charge a small extra fee.

  • What file formats will I receive?

I deliver files based on your needs, including: MP4 or MOV (for videos) GIF or Lottie files (for web animations) JSON or APNG (for app animations) Custom formats if needed

  • Do you offer sound design too?

Yes! I can add background music, sound effects, and voiceovers. If you need custom sound design, I can collaborate with a sound designer.

  • Can you animate my existing logo or design?

Absolutely! If you already have a logo, illustration, or UI design, I can bring it to life with smooth motion.

  • How do I get started?

Simple—just reach out! Let’s chat about your project, and I’ll guide you through the next steps.
