Process

Step 1: Discovery (Initial Call)

I begin with an initial call to gain an understanding of your business, project goals and overall vision for the project. In this call, we would discuss expectations, target audience and any specific requirements.

Step 2: Client Brief Form

I would then request that you fill out a client brief form. This helps gather essential information about the project's scope, objectives, preferences and existing brand elements.

Step 3: Research

I then conduct competitor research to understand industry trends and gather insights that can inform the design process.

Step 4: Brainstorming and Ideation

Using insights, start brainstorming and creating design concepts using Figma. In this stage, we define font styles, colours, brand elements and website functionality. I will then develop multiple website design concepts to explore different visual directions in Figma.

Step 5: Client Feedback and Iterations

Present design concepts and test the interactive Figma prototype for your feedback. Based on your input, iterate the designs, refine elements and incorporate up to three revisions to align the design with your vision. (Additional revisions will be subject to an additional charge)

Step 6: Website Development

Translate the chosen UI design concept into a functional website. Use a website builder like Squarespace or Wix to implement the design, ensuring responsiveness across various devices and browsers.

Step 7: Testing and Client Review

Test the website to identify and resolve any functionality, performance or compatibility issues. Present the website to you to review it. Address any additional feedback and revisions to meet their expectations. This stage includes two final revisions. (Additional revisions will be subject to an additional charge)

Step 8: Delivery

Once the client is satisfied with the final website, deliver the completed website. Provide any necessary documentation for the client to manage and update their site.

How long will it take to design my website?
The timeline for designing a website varies based on factors such as project complexity, number of pages, number of revisions and the extent of custom features. After discussing your specific requirements, I can provide a more accurate estimate. Timely feedback and collaboration can also impact the project's speed.
What information do you need from me to start the design process?
I'll need a detailed understanding of your business, target audience and design preferences. It's helpful to share any existing branding elements, content and examples of two websites you admire. Additionally, insights into your business goals and key functionalities you envision for the website to guide the design process effectively. I will send a client brief form to outline and acquire the information needed.
Can I update my website's content after it's launched?
Yes. Both platforms used (Squarespace and Wix) allow you to easily update text, images and other content. If you would like, I can also provide brief training video to guide you through the process for self-management.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Definitely! I prioritise responsive design, ensuring that your website is optimally displayed on various devices including smartphones. This approach enhances the user experience and supports your site's accessibility.
