One of the genres that got me much better as a producer + mix engineer is metal. A lot of the techniques I've learned in this genre have translated to so many other mixes I've done. I've been mixing rock + metal music for the past 5 years but my mixing history is 13 years with electronic music and hip-hop. As a mix engineer, I try to meet your sonic goals as well as keep a high standard for myself. While I understand there's technical aspects in a mix, it's also an art form and I love to be that bridge that evokes even more feeling from a well written song.
