Summary

To my mind, music must always be story-driven. Once the concept and dramatic needs of your story are recognized and elucidated, my specialty is in offering the musical landscape in which your narrative will stand out. Though educated in the western tradition, I am devoted to the study of ethnomusicology and - rather than impose my own style on your creation - it is always my aim to cast the net far and wide in order to speak in your voice, through music.

Process

Firstly, we'll meet and discuss your story, your vision, your goals and the scale of the project. If we both leave the meeting feeling like I'm the right person to make your musical dreams come alive, I'll begin to collate an initial set of ideas and references.

At the next stage, we will discuss in detail all the aspects of the project until we reach a consensus on both the artistic and practical levels (how much music, where should it go in the piece, what it needs to feel like and - perhaps most importantly - how long will it take to make it all happen, and what would be the deadline).

Once all of the above is agreed upon, I will go off on my own and compose several demos for your consideration. This would usually be ideas and drafts played solely on piano, but at times they might include the beginnings of an arrangement; it all depends on the timeline for the project, and what we feel you'll need to know whether an idea works or not.

Should the demos be approved by you, I will proceed to produce, mix and master the tracks in accordance in the spirit, style and flair as developed throughout the process. I will, of course, keep sending you questions and excerpts as I progress, so that we can discuss and change our minds on a specific track, or moment, if need be.

Fear not - it ain't over till the fat lady sings! Once all the music has been delivered, we'll meet again and discuss how satisfied you are with the result. Should certain tweaks need to be made, or at times whole new tracks produced, I shall willingly go back to the drawing board.

Original Music
From an ambitious YouTube videos to a full-blown Musical Theatre piece, Iw will dive into the nuances of your story and help you to (a) develop your concept, (b) enrich its dramatic potency and (c) contribute to its worldbuilding through uniquely tailored musical compositions.
Sheet Music for Band & Orchestra
Should you choose to invest in a professional studio recording for your project, I shall provide the arrangement and all necessary materials to make sure your musicians are fully prepared for the session. If in London, I will also be present at the recording session and work with the musicians to make sure you get the recording is to your satisfaction. (Please note that, should the recording take place outside of London, further travel arrangements must be made separately and are not included in the initial price).
Industry Standard Demos & Mockups
Should you choose not to record the music with a live band, I will produce a fully-arranged mockup track for you to use instead, made in Cubase using state of the art virtual instruments, to get you as close as possible to that life-like band / orchestra sound you are dreaming of. Copyrights and exclusive licensing shall be discussed on a per project basis, and in context.
