About this service

Summary

What can I do as a product designer to help your business?
The answer to this question is dependent upon the nature of the product being designed.
The design process will vary based on the type of project, as the methodology for a corporate website may differ from that of a banking application.
Typically, my UX design process encompasses five essential stages: product definition, research, analysis, design, and validation.
1. Product definition
The product definition phase sets the foundation for the final product. During this phase, alongside stakeholders, we will brainstorm around the product at the highest level (basically, the concept of the product).
2. Product research
Once we’ve defined what the final product will be, we move to the research phase.
This phase encompasses both user and market research and is integral in guiding design choices.
Early investment in research can result in substantial time and cost savings in the long run. The research can be conducted through various methods, including one-on-one interviews with potential customers or users of a current application.
3. Analysis
The aim of the analysis phase is to draw insights from data collected during the research phase, moving from “what” users want/think/need to “why” they want/think/need it. During this phase, we can confirm that the team’s most important assumptions are correct.
Some key elements that we create during analysis are:
Creating user personas.
Creating user stories
Storyboarding
4. Design
When users’ wants, needs, and expectations from a product are clear, product designers move to the design phase.
During this step, I will work in various tasks, including the development of information architecture (IA) and the creation of the user interface (UI) design. A successful design phase is characterized by both collaboration (involves active involvement from all team members involved in product design) and iteration (repeatedly evaluates and refines ideas).
The actual design process can be broken down into multiple phases
Wireframes.
Prototypes.
Creating a design specification
Creating design systems
5. Validation
Validation is an essential step in the design process because it helps us understand whether the design works for the users. Usually, the validation phase starts after the high-fidelity design is ready since testing with high-fidelity designs provides more valuable feedback from end users.
The validation phase of the UX process may include the following activities:
In-house testing
User testing & Surveys
Analytics regarding the use of the product

What's included

For large projects, I can create a system of components, patterns, and styles that helps the developers keep a visual consistency across the development phase.

  • Functionality documentation

In case it is needed I will create full documentation on how a specific functionality needs to work so that developers have a complete understanding of the intricate functionalities.
