Your product is growing and the design is starting to pull in different directions. Screens look a little different from team to team, designers rebuild the same button every sprint, and developers guess at what the spec meant. A design system fixes that, and a good one makes your team faster every month after it ships.Your product is growing and the design is starting to pull in different directions. I build design systems for product teams that want consistency without slowing down. We start from how your product really works, then build the foundations and components around it, shaped for how your team ships, whether your system lives in design files, a code repository, or both.
Who this is for
Product teams with a live product and screens that have drifted apart
Startups about to grow the team that want a shared language before hiring more designers
Teams moving to a new brand, platform or codebase that want a clean base to build on
Founders tired of every feature starting from a blank page
How it works
Week one, review: I go through your current product, screens and patterns, talk with your designers and developers, and agree on what the system needs to cover first.
Week two, foundations and core components: color, type, spacing, grid, icons, and the components your product uses most, with every state and variant they need.
Week three, documentation and handoff: usage guidelines, naming conventions, examples of how to use each piece, and a walkthrough so your team can run with it.
What you walk away with
A prioritized review of the inconsistencies in your current product
Foundations: color, type, spacing, grid, elevation and iconography
A reusable component set with states, variants and responsive behavior
Design tokens named and organized so they map cleanly to code
Written guidelines for when and how to use each piece
Two revision rounds
A walkthrough with your designers and developers, plus notes on how to contribute to the system
What changes for your team
Designers stop rebuilding the basics and spend their time on real product problems
Developers get consistent specs, so fewer questions and less rework
New features start from a shared base, so they ship faster and look like they belong
New hires get up to speed from the docs instead of from whoever has the context
Allow three weeks once access and priorities are agreed. A production-coded component library and brand identity work are quoted separately. If the system needs to reach beyond your core product, we scope that together up front.
Bring your existing design files, brand assets, the components that cause the most pain, and a developer contact.
AI enhances exploration and scaffolding; tactics, strategy, direction and taste stay under my thumb.
Final scope and any applicable tax are confirmed in your proposal.
